Smart Bro! On Time Disconnection!

Last November 6, 2008 while checking my internet connection I was redirected to a friendly smart bro portal. Internet was down for more than seventeen 17 consecutive days I can’t even bear it! if I were a businessman investing on the internet, man! huge losses do be incurred! Someone could sue the crappy service!


The front page screen instruction says:

“Your service had been redirected to this SMART Bro Portal either because:
1.    You may have an overdue balance that resulted to Disconnection of your service

Please choose from one of the following options:

PAYMENT OPTIONS
WEB CONNECT
CUSTOMER CARE”

2.    You have plugged the internet port to a different computer or location have changed to a new Base Station for better internet connection.

For billing-related inquires you may call 511-2890. For technical concerns, you may call 6727277 using your landline phone or *1888 using your cellphone”

I must admit that I wasn’t able to pay my bills for one (1) month on September 2008, but paid in full on October 20, 2008 with a total of P2,000, there was this delay because I was experiencing minor financial headache caused by the after shocks of economic downturn coming from the US (hehehe.) Visited the smart bro center at ponciano st. several times already, being patient for I have no time arguing or getting mad, I find it simply a waste of time! A day after the tech support arrived and had the canopy changed to a new one. The tech support told me that by tomorrow the internet connection will be up.

So I was excited! I woke up early morning checked it out then I found nothing! redirected to the same portal over and over again! I tried logging in using the Service Reference Number, Account Number, the screen showed up “Failed Account Activation” I kept wondering how many ordeals I have to go through just to get the internet connection up and running. I had spammed filling up the customer care inquires form just to get their attention and do the extreme “cursing” but I said there “CRAP”

The bill on November 2008 did arrive on the 13th but still no connection (how unlucky I am) Malas gyud ko! Pirting malasa! no luck at all.

Checked out smart bro wireless center at SM Davao on the 15th October. A customer care representative told me “the tower somewhere matina was struck by lightning” and all other service woes, blah, blah, blah. She did apologize politely for the inconvenience, however, all I did was scratching my head in disappointment.

I’ll have to pay my bill on time or on advance, since paying on time with a pinch of delay gets you disconnected on time. Thanks for inspiring me jehzlau!.

  3. Wow.. pare mukhang mas worst pa scenario mo sakin ah.. haha ewan ko pero parang sa tingin ko ok pa kahit paputol putol connectivity ko kesa mawalan ng tuluyan .. grr un im a webmaster so i need internet..

  4. I have had that problem several times in the past, and for some reason they could never fix it. In the end, my problem with smart bro became even worse..

    • it really sucks the brain out of me! it’s been 3 months of no internet, then when I came along smartbro center to ask for a 1 month refund, the customer care representative reacted at me on why I took so long to follow-up, at the back of my mind i was saying ohh boy WTF!, anyways I’ll won’t get back the refund because there’s so many process to go, actually the internet connection does not belong to me it was named to somebody else, but im the one paying for it. the person can nowhere to be contacted. finally ive shifted to a dsl service which is pldt mydsl plan 990, comes free with a phone.

  5. ganun din ako pre, pero nag brag ang neighbor ko at katrabaho niya sa banko, na computer enginer, about hahack niya smart bro ko, paparinig pa nila at mula ng araw na yun palagi na akong walang internet koneksyon. kaya paputol ko na lang smart bro, pldt dsl na ako ngayon, ewan ko kung mahahack pa rin nila
